First published in 1957 and originally written for the purpose of being a textbook for for students on the Radar Observer´s Course, this book has become a practical guide which can be found on board many vessels. It has been repeatedly revised and updated taking account of changes in radar techniques, operations and interpretation along with explanations regarding devices introduced by a variety of manufacturers to facilitate radar on board.

This publication serves many purposes.
